The main ingredient in this ancient recipe is basil. Saclà basil is grown in Italy and carefully harvested to preserve the tenderness of its leaves and its characteristic intense aroma. Our Pesto alla Genovese is made with the addition of Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Pecorino Romano DOP, and other ingredients carefully selected by our chefs. For best flavor, it's best to lightly salt the cooking water and use some of it to dilute the sauce.
